This will be in a bright modern setting with German born Margot O'Donoghue Bsc, MA, educated in Essen, Middlesex University and CIFA in the Lacanian tradition, often thought of as the deepest and most challenging of psychological schools. Margot has lived in North London for most of her adult life. Her experience includes counselling life prisoners in Holloway Prison and her clients today often come from highly pressured postions in the City and the media.

Regular dinking to excess can cause liver damage and psychotic behavior. As little as two beers or drinks can impair coordination and thinking. Drug abusers often use alcohol to enhance effects of other drugs.

Safe levels of Alcohol consumption

Alcohol Abuse
Alcohol is a depressant that decreases the response of the central nervous system. It is cheap and readily available and is the most frequently abused substance among young adults, which can quickly turn from a social relaxant to something far more serious.

It is rare that alcoholics recognise their condition, so to even reach the point of enquiring about seeking help is a significant step in itself.

Maybe life has become intolerable for friends and family. Maybe other pressures like work are forcing the issue. Whatever the background, we can help as long as the client is serious about taking the difficult steps to address the problem.
